No more than if you eat fresh berries from your local store.
This is what CNN REALLY had to say about the acai berry:
"There’s no evidence whatsoever to suggest that acai pills will help shed pounds, flatten tummies, cleanse colon, enhance sexual desire, or perform any of the other commonly advertised functions, " according to the organization’s press release. "
"The expensive acai berry is triumph of marketing over science, that’s the bottom line"
"Virtually every berry — blueberry, strawberry, goji, acai — are anti-inflammatory and high in antioxidants, " Bowden said. "This particular one is exotic. It’s found in Brazil. It’s been marketed to have more of a magic ingredient. It’s been over-hyped and marketed to death. There are claims to curing cancer, curing baldness that is all over the place."

I’ve heard a lot about the acai berry diet is it true?

Ok, so i have read a bunch of positive reviews for the Acai Berry weightloss products and i am ready try it. Which is the best Acai Berry Product? The Pills? Powder? Juice?
Are Healthfood stores, like GNC, the best place to get these products? I only want to lose like 20 pounds, so how fast are the results? And how much should i take a day? Are diet and excersise also helpful in acheiving weightloss?? Any information from actual users of this product would be really helpful!!!! Thanks!!!! =)

Acai berry is a waste of money and doesn’t work for weight loss. The juice may taste nice but won’t help you lose weight, nor will pills.

Please don’t fall for all the spam adverts you see. No pill, potion or supplement will help you.

All you need to lose weight is a good healthy diet and exercise - it takes time :)

If it is a good quality acai berry product, then yes, it is worth it. Acai is the best known antioxidant fruit that is known on the planet. The antioxidants in acai help to cleanse your body. The natural lipids in acai help to give you more energy and stamina. The fiber in acai helps digestion and fat loss.

I’ve been using acai berry products for a couple of months now and I’ve noticed that yes they do work. I used them when I wanted to trim off about 15lbs.

I knew that diet and exercise alone would help achieve that goal alone but I needed something to help me with my mid afternoon snacking urges. This is where I found the acai berry really helped me.

It helped to curb those mid afternoon urges which meant when I went out jogging later that night I wasn’t just jogging to work off that bag of Doritios I snacked on around 3pm instead I was actually working off the weight I wanted..

After a couple months I now no longer needed the supplements and can manage my weight more easily, so I found that yes they really did help speed up my weight loss goals when I used them along with a diet and exercise program, as the berries gave me more energy and helped to curb my appetite

I got my free trial bottle from the site below

I see alot of advertisement for the internet but I am not trying to just try a suppose to be risk free trail I know how those risk free trails work. IF any one knows thank you

GNC sucks, every other place is better.

Does Ultimate acai extreme really work? is it a scam?

For weight loss? Its a scam.

For nutrition? Acai is no better than cranberry or blueberries.

Colon cleansing, even a bigger scam. Such is alt med…

I have been taking a Centrum Performance multivitamin every day for the past 2 weeks and I have noticed that my urine is much darker in color than it is normally. Normally, because I drink so much water every day, it is almost clear but lately it is a definite yellow. Sorry if this info grosses you out, I figured it might help. I have also been taking 2 omega3’s, 2 osteo biflex to help me with my knee pain ( I tore my left minisci playing football a year ago but don’t want to get surgery unless it becomes really bad) which it helps greatly. On occasion I take 1 garlic pill for the general health of my heart and 1-2 acai extract and 1-2 green tea extract when I can remember. These past few days has just been osteo biflex, omegas, and vitamin and its dark in color.
Is this bad for me? To take all these vitamins only to piss them out?

I am 21 years old btw.

Not uncommon whatsoever - its because you are giving your body more vit c and vit b what ever your body doesnt need gets flushed out by your urine - no worries

I eat healthy. I work out regularly. I take vitamins. Just seems to be so hard to lose last 5 pounds around the waist. Have any of you tried acai berry supplements, green tea supplements?

I am even thinking of Hydroxycut possibly but kind of scares me..

They don’t really work. They are cleansing and have some minor fat burning properties, but these are practially nonexistent. They help motivate a person, however, to keep up with the diet regimen. Hydroycut gets its name from hydroxycitric acid, which interferes with the Krebs cycle of carbohydrate metabolism. Hydroxycitric acid doesn’t do a lot in practice, however. I believe Hydroycut mainly gets its kick from over-the-counter compounds analogous to Sudafed [and compounds that mimic adrenaline and can cause heart palpitations and aggressiveness.

I have never taken diet pills, but I saw on Oprah that this berry has way more benefits than just weight loss. Is it worth the cost? Anyone else tried it?

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
